  2. Good thinking Keith - picture quality is a vast improvement. Just a pity it doesn't happen all the time everywhere. We get a good class of busker in the pedestrian areas in Cardiff - but they are kids on their way up really, whereas you've found the finished article. Are they stallholders having a giggle or trained voices brought in for the occasion?

  4. I've travelled to many countries over the years, but have never be serenadedlike this. I would think it would attract many new and old customers.

  5. Allan,

I believe that guy on the vegetable stall had been lusting after the buxom wench from the fruit stall for years, but finally declared his passion on 13th November. Trouble was, he didn't know her boyfriend was lurking in the crowd with a shopping bag on wheels and big dark scowl on his face. And anyway, why all the lust when all the time that melyn bach, his blonde wife, was waiting round the corner. The alcoholic from the French cheese stall couldn't resist the temptation to invite us all to open a bottle, but you will have noted that in true operatic tradition, it wasn't over until the fat lady sang!

  6. Watching this with a smile on my face, I'm drawn to tears - 'Tis the best brine a maiden can season her praise in. All's Well That Ends Well.

  7. Ta for those insights Keith. I was thinking along the lines of some sort of Spanish Workers Playtime - not a publicity event for local theatre. I am on yr wavelength now, of love and passion in the Mall. My stepfather had real probs coping after the death of my mother, and after milling round the family for months, ended up doing a part time job for his brother on his Goldfish and Budgie stall in Leeds market. He fell for Alice on the Fruit and Veg stall and after some time they took it all the way and got wed. Lovely news for both of them, but I never really resolved my status. Is it legal to have both a step mother and a step father - at the same time?

    Be Happy Allan

P.S. Don't snigger. Harry Newell was quite a celeb in Yorkshire, being Champion Budgerigar Breeder several times, and also some National success.

  8. Forgot to mention yr second memory jog. You do intuitive wonders when you want to keep attention. Melyn Bach Avenue is quite close to me in Pontypool.
